Make a difference this WorldPride by shaking buckets at Sydney’s leading theatres to collect donations for ACON and BGF.

In Sydney, productions and theatres have long supported our communities by allowing volunteers to shake buckets and collect donations during period like World AIDS Day and Gay Pride Month. During WorldPride, two great shows – Hairspray The Musical and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – have come out to support us by allowing us to shake buckets. It’s a great way to get out, meet people and have fun while helping a good cause. Bucket shaking is an important part of our fundraising efforts and we’re grateful to all the shows and volunteers that help us every time.

With WorldPride in full swing, there’ll be plenty of love and pride at these two wonderful productions, but we need your help to collect donations!

Volunteering for these collections will take just 30 minutes of your time and we always get a great response because one of the stars of each show makes an announcement about the collection during the bows.

This donation drive during WorldPride is done in partnership between ACON and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation. Funds collected from bucket collections are distributed to both organisations for their HIV support work.
